I'm drawn into the strange world of politics today. You may have seen the film 'The man who sued God', which is HILARIOUS, fairly tongue in cheek. It's set in Australia, and is the story of poor Billy, and his boat that gets destroyed by what the insurance company call 'an act of God' and don't pay out.
Well, only in america could they make this fantasy, a reality...
"Nebraska State Senator Sues God
Democrat Says He's Making A Point -- Seeks Permanent Injunction Against Almighty
(Source CBS News)
Saying that God has caused "fearsome floods ... horrendous hurricanes, terrifying tornadoes," Nebraska's longest-serving state senator says he is suing the Almighty to make a legal point.
State Sen. Ernie Chambers of Omaha, a Democrat, filed a lawsuit against God in Douglas County District Court last week, saying that God has made terroristic threats against the senator and his constituents, inspired fear and caused "widespread death, destruction and terrorization of millions upon millions of the Earth's inhabitants."
He's seeking a permanent injunction against God"
Ha ha ha. I hope God turns up. That'll be a laugh.
But the world of politics doesnt end there...A German Politician today has declared that she wants to limit the period of a marriage to seven years.

(Daily Mail):' "My proposal is for marriages to run out after seven years," Pauli, a twice-divorced 50-year-old who leads the local administration in the town of Fuerth, said as she presented her leadership program in Munich.
"That means that, in future, people would in future enter marriages only on a time-limited basis, and would then actively say 'yes' to an extension," she added.
She argued that, since a high proportion of marriages end in divorce and many people stay married only for fear of separation or for financial reasons, "perhaps one can live better outside marriage."
Pauli conceded that "the fine points must still be cleared up" and said that "obviously, a lot stands against this." '
Well, why not eh, lets just forget about God, and live life for ourselves. I can see a real future in that.
Not.
